NFL HAT!

                                                       

With super bowl season upon us, I decided to make up a VERY SIMPLE hat pattern for an adult male, but truly can be sized for any head! I love changing the color of my yarn in patterns,I could not tell you why, I use to think it was a hassle and all of the sudden! BAM!  Alright enough chatter on to the pattern!

Materials
5.5MM crochet hook
2 colors of your choice yarn!
DC= double crochet
SC= single crochet
SL= slip stitch
MC= Magic circle, Magic ring (etc)
**= repeat

COLOR A
DC 12 into MC
RND1: 2 DC in each ST around Join with SL 
 COLOR B
RND2: 1 DC in first ST 2 DC in next, *1 DC in next ST 2 DC in next ST*  Join with SL
COLOR A
RND3: 1 DC in first ST, 1 DC in next ST 2 DC In next *1DC in next 2 STS, 2 DC in next ST* Join with SL
RND4: 1 DC in first ST, 1 DC in next 2 (3 ST with 1 DC) 2 DC in next* 1 DC in next 3 STS 2 DC in next ST* Join with a SL
COLOR B
RND5: 1 DC in every ST around
COLOR A
RND6-14: 1 DC in every ST around continuing the color pattern!
2 rounds for color A 1 round for color B

EARFLAPS
Count 11 stitches to the right of where you fastened off, then another 12, join color A
Crochet on right side.
CH1 and HDC in next 12 ST, CH2 
Turn HDC in 12 ST, CH2
Turn HDC2TO, HDC in next 8 ST, HDC2TO, CH 2
Turn HDC2TO, HDC in next 6 ST, HDC2TO, CH 2
Turn HDC in 8ST, CH2
Turn HDC2TO, HDC in next 4 ST, HDC2TO, CH2

Crochet on right side.

POM
I took the 2 colors and wrapped them around my 4 fingers 60 times took a long piece of yarn and tied it in the middle then cut the loops (creative huh). If you have a POM POM maker that's good too!

EDGEING
If you choose to edge you could use A or B, I chose to you color A 
SC in every ST around keeping sure it's even on both sides!
